Founded in 1946, the Taiwan Chamber of
Commerce has been founder and an authoritative institution
in maintaining Taiwan’s abacus/mental arithmetic assessment
system.
The Chamber of Commerce has since 1950 begun staging
abacus skill tests.
Presently, the association hosts twice a year joining
hand with The General Chamber of Commerce and other abacus
mental arithmetic education outfits in staging the “National
Abacus/mental Arithmetic Joint Examination”, which not only
serves to validate the fruitful results of the students but
also acts to reserve for the nation numerous elementary
accounting and commercial computing talents rather
intangibly.
